ADVANCED SAFETY FEATURES DESIGNED FOR YOUR DISCOVERY
Our standard and optional Driving Assistance features are designed to protect you, with four cameras implemented around the car monitoring every angle of the vehicle.
Each feature has its own purpose to help prevent incidents. These features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, emergency braking, Blind Spot Assist, traffic sign recognition with an adaptive speed limiter, and a Rear Collision Monitor.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Set your cruising speed and maintain a safe distance with our adaptive cruise control. This feature automatically adjusts to traffic, helping to prevent accidents caused by obstructed views or close following distances. Cameras, lasers, and radar monitor the distance between your vehicle and others.
LANE KEEP ASSIST
Using a camera to monitor road lines, Lane Keep Assist activates when your vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane, gently correcting your course with a subtle torque on the steering wheel. If you start to drift without signalling, it alerts you immediately.
TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION
An adaptive speed limiter, with Traffic Sign Recognition, helps you to stay within speed limits and avoid no-overtaking zones by displaying signs on your console or optional Head-up Display. Forward-facing cameras near the rear-view mirror keep an eye on road signs, adjusting your speed automatically.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
Feel secure knowing that your vehicle will warn you of danger and apply the brakes if you can’t react in time. Advanced light detectors and cameras detect potential accidents and alert you immediately. If a collision seems imminent and no action is taken, brakes are applied automatically.
BLIND SPOT ASSIST
Blind Spot Assist1 acts as an extra set of eyes for your safety during lane changes. A warning light in the wing mirror alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot. Should you attempt a lane change with a threat present, a flashing icon, steering correction, and audio alert will notify you.
REAR COLLISION MONITOR
This crucial safety feature detects if a vehicle approaching from behind isn't slowing down and automatically flashes the hazard lights to alert the driver behind you to brake. This early warning helps prevent rear-end collisions, which can cause significant damage and injury.

1Blind Spot Assist can help prevent collisions. If your vehicle detects another car in your blind spot when you begin to change lanes, additional steering correction encourages you to guide your vehicle away if a potential collision is detected.
