YOUR 12-DAY JOURNEY
On this epic 12-day trip you will see, feel, and experience the best that Namibia, Botswana and Defender have to offer. Covering hundreds of miles and a shocking variety of landscapes and surroundings, this once in a lifetime adventure isn t to be missed.
DAY ONE TO THREE
Your local guide will meet you at the airport of the cosmopolitan city of Windhoek. After your first briefing and familiarising yourself with the vehicles, the adventure can begin. We journey to the fascinating Waterberg Plateau, where you can find 200-million-year-old dinosaur footprints and petrified sand dunes. The day after we set off to scenic Grootfontein, where we will visit the largest meteorite in the world.
DAY FOUR TO SIX
Traveling through Khaudum National Park, we pay visit to a Bushman village before braving sandy slopes on the way to the Caprivi Strip, where numerous elephants, buffalo, lions and leopards roam. We ll spend two nights on the Okavango River. Stay at the lodge to relax at the spa, go on a guided tour of the Mahango Game Park, or take a boat trip to the Popa Falls to view the hippos and crocodiles that have made their home there.
DAY SEVEN TO NINE
As we reach the border to Botswana, we once again test Defender on sand tracks. Our destination is the Okavango Panhandle, a breathtakingly beautiful stretch of the delta. The river runs straight for about 70 kilometres, a deep channel feeding water into the delta and teeming with fish and birds. There are opportunities for fishing, boating and even an optional scenic flight to admire the Okavango Delta form the air.
DAY TEN TO TWELVE
Set on the banks of the beautiful Thamalakane River, the bustling town of Maun serves as the perfect base for adventures in the Moremi Game Reserve. We will spend a night in the heart of the reserve, on the banks of the Khwai River where you will enjoy own private viewing deck. Depending on the water level in the delta, we may not only drive on sand tracks but also through fords as we make our way back to Maun.

CLIMATE
Namibia s climate is mostly dry and pleasant. Early months of the year are more humid, while temperatures cool between April and August. From September onwards it s warm but dusty.
